Cabinet Construction Types
Construction type is how the doors sit on the cabinet box. It changes how the finished run looks and how much fits inside. We build all three.
Frameless
Known as "European" style, this frameless design features a consistent 1/8" gap around all doors and drawers, creating a clean, modern look perfect for today’s kitchens and living spaces.

Full Overlay
The construction method is identical to the Standard Overlay, with the only notable difference being a slightly smaller 1/4" gap on all sides, providing a more precise and refined finish.

The doors and drawers fit smoothly inside and line up evenly with the cabinet frame, letting you see the full width and enjoy its neat, sharp design.

Drawer Boxes
Our drawer boxes are constructed with dovetail joinery and premium plywood for smooth operation and lasting durability. Available with soft-close slides for a quiet, luxurious feel in every interaction.
How to Choose
It comes down to the look you want, how much storage matters and your budget. Frameless holds the most and looks the most modern. Full overlay gets close to that look and is the one we build most often. Inset is the most traditional and costs the most, because every door is fitted to its own opening by hand.
None of the three is better in the abstract. We will tell you which one suits your room at the design consultation.
The Same Build Quality Throughout
Whichever one you choose, what goes inside the cabinet does not change: dovetail drawer boxes in premium plywood, soft-close hinges and slides throughout, and finishing done in our own shop.
Construction Is Not the Door Style
These two get mixed up a lot. Construction is how the door sits on the box; door style is the front of the door. Any of our four door styles works with any of the three above, so you can pick them separately.
