Cabinet Features and Storage Options

Dovetail drawer box with utensil divider

The difference between cabinets that work and cabinets that just fit is what happens inside them. These are the fittings we build in, chosen during design rather than added as an afterthought.

01

Drawer Boxes

Our drawer boxes are constructed with dovetail joinery and premium plywood for smooth operation and lasting durability. Available with soft-close slides for a quiet, luxurious feel in every interaction.

02

Soft-Close Hinges and Slides

Hinges and slides are the parts that move tens of thousands of times over a kitchen's life, and they are the first thing to fail on cheap cabinets. We use premium soft-close hardware from trusted brands as standard, not as an upgrade you have to ask for.

03

Pull-Outs and Corner Storage

Pull-out shelves

Shelves that slide all the way out, so the back of the cabinet comes to you.

Spice pull-outs

Narrow tall pull-outs beside the range for jars and oils.

Hidden trash bins

Waste and recycling bins concealed behind a door, on sliding runners.

Corner pull-outs

Swing-out units that recover the dead space in a corner cabinet.

Lazy susans

Rotating shelves that use the full depth of a corner.

04

Drawer Organization

Cutlery organizers

Dividers built to the size of your drawer rather than dropped in.

Baking sheet dividers

Upright partitions for trays, boards and sheet pans.

Pull-out trays

Shallow trays for the things that get lost at the back.

05

Specialty Fittings

Sliding pocket doors

Doors that slide back into the cabinet, good for hiding a coffee station.

Mixer lifts

A sprung shelf that lifts a stand mixer up to counter height.

Floating shelves

Solid hardwood shelves with the brackets hidden inside.

06

Why Drawers Usually Beat Doors

A low cabinet with a door means crouching and reaching into the dark to find anything at the back. The same cabinet built as drawers brings everything out to you, so nothing gets lost behind anything else. That is why most of the base cabinets we build now are drawers, especially for pots and heavy items.

07

Planning Features Before the Build

Almost everything on this page costs less and works better when it is decided during design rather than added later. A pull-out has to be sized to the cabinet, and a mixer lift needs the cabinet built to carry it. We go through the list at the measurement visit and ask what you actually use, so nothing gets specified that you will not want and nothing gets missed until after the install.
